What does an electronic signature look like on a document? What does a digital signature look like on a document?

In business and entrepreneurship, it is impossible to keep up with the times without a digital signature. It is needed to quickly and easily submit reports, remotely participate in bidding and tenders.

The concept of EP

An electronic signature is a technically complex information and legal category and appears in the following main manifestations:

  • is a mandatory requisite of an official document created and used in non-documentary form;
  • is a certain layer of technically encrypted information, which, depending on the technology used:
    • entered directly into the certified document;
    • logically attached to it;
  • is formed as a result of extremely complex mathematical calculations using cryptographic methods.

Subject to the requirements established by law and the parties to the use agreement, an ES is a legally and technically complete replacement for a handwritten signature, and, if necessary, also an official seal.

Characteristics

  • has a specific scope;
  • has a sign of legal significance;
  • verifies (confirms) the data contained in the document certified by it;
  • acts as a security mechanism.

Based on the legislative definition, the following should also be attributed to the signs of EP:

  • is created as a result of modification of data by means of cryptographic algorithms using the private private key of the signer;
  • ensures the detection of changes made to the certified file after the signature is generated by the owner of the key certificate;
  • establishes that the ES belongs to the owner of the signature key certificate.

Where did the concept come from

The term "electronic signature" was introduced into domestic office work from foreign technical standards. The new edition of the profile law of the Russian Federation "On ES" has brought the requirements even closer, regulation and rules for handling EP to international standards.

For EU member states, the Directive of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU 1999/93 / EC of 1999 "On the procedure for using ES in the EU" is a defining document that gives an exhaustive answer to the question, what is an electronic signature?

In the named document, ES is defined as any digitized information that is added or otherwise associated with data in electronic form and serves as confirmation of their authenticity. Interestingly, international legal documents interpret the concept of an electronic signature much broader than domestic ones.

In this case, the following can be recognized as a digital signature:

  • simple passwords that are created using codes or other non-cryptographic methods;
  • human biometric data;
  • a photo or even a recording of the voice of the owner of the electronic signature.

Thus, the concept of ES in the European Union is in no way tied to a specific technology for its creation. In the Russian Federation, on the contrary, the technology is clearly defined:

  • a simple signature is formed using codes of numbers or passwords;
  • enhanced - using cryptographic encryption mechanisms;
  • qualified - by the same methods as reinforced, if they are checked and approved by the FSB.

Development of EP in the Russian Federation

The legislation on ES developed slowly and involuntarily. This is due to the technical complexity of the settlement object and the need to fill the legal field with terminology that is not inherent in it. The first GOST, which established national standards regarding the use of electronic signature in government communications, was developed in 1994 (GOST R. 34.10-94). At the same time, the rules for the formation and verification of ES based on an asymmetric cryptographic algorithm were established.

Subsequently, GOST changed twice - in 2002 and 2013 - in connection with the improvement of technologies. In turn, the first act on ES at the legislative level in the Russian Federation was adopted in 2002 (this is 8 years after GOST) and was called the law "On Electronic Digital Signature". The current version of the profile act is dated 2015.

The legislator has made every effort to adapt it to international standards regarding the terminology and legal regime of the ES.

The certification authority is now prohibited from independently generating "self-signed" certificates. To sign qualified certificates on its own behalf, an accredited certification authority must use a qualified electronic signature based on qualified certificate issued to him by the head certification center, the functions of which are carried out by the authorized federal body.

An accredited certification center is prohibited from using a qualified electronic signature based on a qualified certificate issued to it by the head certification center, whose functions are performed by the authorized federal body, to sign certificates that are not qualified certificates. That is, now it does not matter who issued your ES key certificate, since all ES key verification certificates allow you to build certificate chains up to the Head Certification Authority.

Changes in the law on electronic signature greatly simplify the life of ordinary ES users and allow them to use one signature to access all state resources.

Handwritten vs Digital Signature: What's the Difference?

Understanding the legal and technical nature of ES is greatly facilitated by its comparison with a human stroke on a paper document.

Handwritten signature:

  • always the same, regardless of the content of the document;
  • its appearance is determined by the physical and mental state of the signatory;
  • cannot be lost by a person, since it is inextricably linked with his personality;
  • does not require the use of any additional mechanisms for formation;
  • does not need any infrastructure for storage and maintenance;
  • is indefinite.

An electronic signature has the following features:

Benefits of using electronic technology

Electronic signatures confirm three types of data:

  • information about the signer;
  • data on the fact of making or not making changes to the document;
  • legal impossibility for the signatory to deny the fact of sending the certified document.

The need to confirm data about the publisher or sender of a document usually arises when a signed ES file is transmitted by telecommunication channels with subsequent verification of the signature. The study of ES is carried out within the framework of the identification protocol. The signer certifies the ES document using a private private key, and the addressee verifies the ES using the public key. The use of a signature to ensure the integrity of the document means that any extraneous interference that will be made with the sent file will definitely be detected.

Thus, the essence of the check is to establish:

  • whether the ES is reliable, whether it corresponds to the identification data of the sender and whether it is fake;
  • whether the received text, figure, table is original - whether they have undergone changes in the process of file delivery from the moment the ES was generated to verification.

If the previous two considered functions of ES are provided more by technical methods, then the third one (the impossibility of negation) is more legal.

She is supposed to:

  • indirectly - by the Law of the Russian Federation "On ES";
  • directly - by agreement of participants in an open or closed digital document management system.

The regulation of the impossibility of refusal is based on the following points:

  • technical - the integrity and authorship of the document;
  • logical - intentionality of actions, the possibility of error, misrepresentation, etc.;
  • normative - capacity, authority.

EP functions

The opportunities that an ES provides to the owner are determined by its type. A simple ES is produced using passwords (codes) without the use of cryptographic algorithms. Therefore, it is not able to confirm the integrity and immutability of the document. Its only function is to identify the signer.

It should be noted that the existence of this type of EP is subject to harsh criticism. Skeptics argue that conventional EP is only a historical stage in the development of electronic technology in Europe and the United States. They deny the expediency of the existence of this type of electronic signature in the modern legal field. The unreliability of a simple ES led to the refusal of accredited certification centers to work with it.

Reinforced EP:

A qualified electronic signature has the highest degree of protection against counterfeiting.

It performs all the functions of a reinforced EP, but, in addition:

  • produced by means of protection methods approved by the FSB;
  • the verification key is specified in a qualified certificate issued by a certification authority that has been accredited;
  • when it is formed, EP tools are used.

Application of EP

An online electronic signature is used to:

  • buying and selling goods and services on the Internet;
  • work in the "Client-Bank" system: formation and payment of accounts, control over available funds, financial management, obtaining loans;
  • registration of real estate transactions;
  • declarations in the customs authorities;
  • participation in electronic tenders, including state and corporate orders;
  • reporting to local authorities of the Federal Tax Service, Rosstat, social insurance funds and other regulatory structures;
  • applying for the provision of administrative services in in electronic format;
  • access to interdepartmental systems (including EIAS FTS of Russia).

The use of a qualified ES is legally recognized as mandatory when submitting reports and declarations:

  • mandatory to the territorial tax authority by VAT payers, and for other taxes - in the case when the average number of employees was 100 or more people;
  • to the territorial body of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation and the FSS - if the number of employees exceeded 25 persons.

Forming two types of reporting - paper and electronic - means doing the same job twice. Therefore, 50 people of the state is the threshold, starting from which it will be necessary to switch to electronic document management and reporting to all authorities.

Is it possible to do without EP

Faced with the difficulty of understanding what an electronic signature is, what its purpose and use are, many people think that they can do without it. And in vain.

A verification key certificate is an electronic document (or paper document) that confirms that the signing key belongs to the owner of the certificate, and not to a third party. When it is generated, the data about the owner is saved, and the resulting file is called the signature key certificate. This document includes the public key and information about the owner, as well as information about the organization (certifying authority) that issued the key.

In other words, the key certificate is a kind of electronic passport for each participant in the workflow.

It makes it possible to accurately identify the user. It is important to understand that the exchange of electronic documents is possible if the participants have valid certificates.

What information does it contain?

The list of fields that can be in the certificate is determined by the current standards and legislation. Typically, a certificate contains the following fields:

  • The unique registration number of the certificate.
  • Dates and time of the beginning/end of validity of the EDS certificate.
  • Surname, name and patronymic of the certificate holder.
  • The name of the signing key.
  • Owner alias.
  • Details and name of the CA.
  • Information about the use of the signature.
  • The name of the cryptographic algorithm.
  • Other information for verifying the certificate, provided by law.

How to print an EDS certificate?

Many people ask the question - how to print an EDS on paper, because they have no idea how to print an electronic signature key certificate. In order to print the certificate form, you need to open the taxpayer card (located in the Counterparties - Taxpayers menu. Next, select your company) and go to the "Responsible Persons" tab.

How to print a document with an EDS? For the responsible person for whom the certificate was issued, click "Print Form". Thus, the question is: “how to print an electronic signature certificate?” becomes no longer relevant.

When you press the "Forward" button, a printout will occur. At this point, the creation of the client's EDS keys and the registration of the public EDS key with the bank are completed. For full and final registration of a pair of EDS keys, the client must come to the bank with a New Key Certificate.

At the final stage, to go, you must click "Exit". This completes the registration of the EDS keys of an individual.

Progress does not stand still. Every year new technologies appear in the field of business. With their help, it is possible to speed up and greatly simplify document flow. More recently, for signing papers began to use electronic signature. Even in judicial practice, it fully corresponds to its paper counterpart in its rights. Many users are interested What does an electronic signature look like on a document?

EDS used for more than just verification.

Thanks to it, it is possible to prevent the facts of fraud and forgery. The documents have full legal force, therefore, they can be used to confirm their correctness in judicial practice. However, for this it is necessary to know exactly what does an ECP look like and its types.

For protection The source uses two certification options. They directly depend what does the EDS look like on the document. It is allowed to use simple and enhanced signature. The last variant of props can also be qualified and unqualified.

Choose Signature

To know, what does a document signed with an electronic signature look like, interesting to many modern people. Thanks to her, it will be possible to establish the authenticity electronic paper option. First of all, it should be noted that when printing document it will not show any changes. In fact EDS is a combination of cryptographic ciphers that are used to identify the author. To a question, what does e-mail look like digital signature, needs to be taken seriously. Although it is impossible to fake it, errors and fraudulent manipulations can occur at any time.

On the electronic form can display many data. However, for reliable protection need to know in advance What does a digital signature on a document look like?

  • A string with numbers that at first glance defy logic. Most often, this is the answer to the question, What does a digital signature look like? More information can be found in the detailed study certificate.
  • Of great importance is information about What does an e-signature certificate look like?

    After all, on the basis of this paper, authenticity is confirmed. EDS may also be in the form of a graphic image. If it is transferred to electronic version, you get a stamp or seal of the enterprise. It can be put only by trusted persons who are chosen in the organization. We already know What does a document signed with an EDS look like? However, there is an additional opportunity for the signer - to leave a sticker or note. They will always be displayed first. To get full access to additional features, you will need to purchase software. It was specially designed to perform these tasks by domestic programmers.

  • To create a complete picture, you should also answer the question: what does a qualified electronic signature look like? She is invisible to document but at the same time gives him the necessary level of protection. For example, if a person does not know about its presence on paper, then he will not try to do everything to fake it. This option is ideal for protecting all data that is created using the MS Office application. They will be transmitted over the network with a meta tag, which is generated by a special application. What does a simple electronic signature look like? in that case we have already said. The document can be recognized by a special icon. It is always located at the bottom of the monitor. Further editing of such documents impossible.

It's time to go beyond business as usual and find out What does a digital signature for a message look like? or document.

What does an electronic signature look like on a document?

This is an ideal option that is specifically designed to protect data on the Internet. Thanks to signatures additionally saves a lot of time and Money. Certificate can be quickly processed in certifying center. Legal entities and individuals can apply to it at any time.

For visual inspection, it is necessary to find out in advance, What does an enhanced electronic signature look like? It may also include the seal of the enterprise. Verification is carried out by means of a special software module. Key allows counterparties to exchange information through a secure channel. The same option is chosen for regulatory agencies.

EDS- unique opportunity quick organization workflow. It is necessary to pay for most public services through the Internet. The signature must be mandatory if you wish to participate in the auction. Legal entities receive it in order to remotely submit all the necessary declarations to the regulatory authorities. This is exactly the requirement set out in the Federal Laws.

An electronic signature is a flash drive (a regular flash drive) or a rutoken.

This flash drive can look like anything - regulated requirements for it appearance no. But RuToken, which looks like a flash drive, is usually red with the engraving "RUTOKEN" on one of the surfaces. There is a significant difference between them - electronic keys on a rutoken they have a higher degree of protection compared to an ES on a flash drive. How an electronic signature looks on a document - photo

There are many types of electronic signatures that are valid in their specific area. And not all of them have a tangible expression on the document. You need to understand that the meaning of a digital signature is the exchange of public and private digital keys between the sender and the recipient.

    Combination of numbers and symbols- a cipher key that can be placed on an electronic document. Contained in the certificate to this key.

    Electronic signature: emergence, development, application and advantages

  1. Graphic image- looks, for example, as the seal of the organization. In printed form, it is no different from an ordinary stamp.

    Invisible protection- complex mathematical calculations based on cryptographic methods. With the help of special programs and tokens, its presence can only be determined by the person to whom the document is intended.

Maximum per electronic document there may be a mark that it is certified by an electronic signature. For example, as in this photo:

How to make an electronic seal

In modern conditions, paper workflow is increasingly being replaced by electronic. An electronic document is created and stored on a computer. If the exchange of information on paper can take days, weeks and even months, then the delivery of an electronic document to its destination occurs in a matter of seconds.

What is EDS and what is it used for?

When implementing electronic document management, it is very important to know that the information received is genuine, and it was provided by the person whose competence it is. For this, an EDS is used - an electronic digital signature, which, in electronic document management, replaces a handwritten seal and signature.

EDS is a confirmation that the document after its formation by the owner of the electronic signature was not subject to changes. Also, EDS allows you to accurately determine the identity of the sender. An electronic signature will not allow the author to refuse the document, since only the owner of a special private key has the ability to create a correct signature.

Three types of electronic signatures are accepted in Russia. A simple electronic signature is created by using codes and passwords. It allows you to identify the sender of the document, but cannot help you determine if the document has been modified since the signature was created.

Enhanced unqualified electronic signature - not only confirms the authorship, but also the absence of changes in the document after its creation. AT individual cases by agreement of the parties, it can be an analogue of a handwritten signature and seal.

Finally, an enhanced qualified electronic signature is a full-fledged replacement for the owner's signature and seal. With its help, you can certify legal documents and conduct business transactions with documentation. Such a signature must be certified by a special accredited Certification Authority.

How to get an EDS

In the process of conducting business correspondence and document flow, the question will surely arise, how to do electronic printing. To do this, you will have to turn to the help of a third party, which will become the guarantor of the authenticity of the EDS. This is an accredited Certification Authority.

On the website of the Certification Center, you must fill out an application and select the office of the organization that is most convenient for obtaining an EDS. The operator contacts the client to clarify the information and agree on the further procedure for obtaining an EDS.

By e-mail a questionnaire will come - an application for issuing a certificate and an invoice for paying for the services of the center. It is necessary to accurately fill out the questionnaire and collect a complete package of all required documents, scanned copies of these documents are previously sent to the Certification Center.

What does an electronic signature look like?

This will help to carry out the procedure for obtaining an EDS with a shorter time frame.

Next, you need to come to the center with the original documents and a payment order certified by the bank to receive an EDS. The process itself creating an EDS includes the generation of two keys, one of which, open, is visible to all participants in the document flow, the second is closed, known only to the owner of the EDS.

Equipment required to work with EDS

In order to certify documents using an EDS, you need a computer with a special program by a cryptographic provider. You can buy such software at the Certification Authority. Next, a key carrier is connected to the computer and you can start working.

If you have doubts or questions about how to make an electronic seal, there is always the opportunity to call the Certification Center and get answers to all questions.

1. Information in electronic form, signed with a qualified electronic signature, is recognized as an electronic document, equivalent to a paper document signed with a handwritten signature, and can be used in any legal relationship in accordance with the law Russian Federation, except if federal laws or regulatory legal acts adopted in accordance with them establish the requirement that the document be drawn up exclusively on paper.

(see text in previous edition)

2. Information in electronic form, signed with a simple electronic signature or an unqualified electronic signature, is recognized as an electronic document equivalent to a paper document signed with a handwritten signature, in cases established by federal laws, regulatory legal acts adopted in accordance with them, or an agreement between participants in an electronic interactions. Regulatory legal acts and agreements between participants in electronic interaction that establish cases for recognizing electronic documents signed with an unqualified electronic signature as equivalent to paper documents signed with a handwritten signature should provide for the procedure for verifying an electronic signature. Normative legal acts and agreements between participants in electronic interaction establishing cases of recognition of electronic documents signed with a simple electronic signature as equivalent to paper documents signed with a handwritten signature must comply with the requirements of Article 9 of this Federal Law.

3. If, in accordance with federal laws, regulatory legal acts adopted in accordance with them, or business practice, a document must be certified by a seal, an electronic document signed with an enhanced electronic signature and recognized as equivalent to a paper document signed with a handwritten signature is recognized as equivalent to a document on hard copy, signed with a handwritten signature and certified by a seal. Federal laws, regulatory legal acts adopted in accordance with them, or an agreement between participants in electronic interaction may provide for additional requirements for an electronic document in order to recognize it as equivalent to a document on paper, certified by a seal.

3.1. If federal laws and regulatory legal acts adopted in accordance with them provide that a document must be signed by several persons, an electronic document must be signed by the persons (authorized officials of the body, organization) who prepared this document, with the type of signature that is established by the legislation of the Russian Federation for signing the prepared electronic document with an electronic signature.

4. Several interconnected electronic documents (package of electronic documents) can be signed with one electronic signature. When signing a package of electronic documents with an electronic signature, each of the electronic documents included in this package is considered to be signed with an electronic signature of the type that was used to sign the package of electronic documents. The exception is cases when the package of electronic documents by the person who signed the package includes electronic documents created by other persons (bodies, organizations) and signed by them with the type of electronic signature that is established by the legislation of the Russian Federation for signing such documents. In these cases, the electronic document included in the package is considered signed by the person who originally created such an electronic document, with the type of electronic signature with which this document was signed during creation, regardless of the type of electronic signature signed by the package of electronic documents.

To sign documentation of any level, executed in electronic form, a digital signature is actively used today. Its presence allows you to fix the authenticity of the information contained in the file, as well as the ownership of the EDS by the owner. Before making an electronic signature, an individual or business entity must undergo a simple registration at the office. website of the certifying center, or contact its trusted representative.

Legislative regulation

The procedure for generating and using virtual digital signatures is regulated by the Federal Law No. 63 of 04/06/2011, as well as other regulatory legal acts, in particular the Civil Code (Art. 847, 434, 160) and the Tax Code of the Russian Federation (Art. 169). These laws regulate what EDS is, how it looks and in what areas it can be applied. Also, issues on the application and receipt of virtual digital signatures are considered by such legislative acts: Federal Law No. 149, 402, Order of the Ministry of Finance No. 50n dated 04.25.2011.

Information presented on a special medium in virtual form should be considered as a digital signature. Upon receipt of the EDS, the certification center issues a key certificate, which confirms that the signature belongs to a specific business entity or individual. A digital signature is an analogue of a conventional signature and can be used to certify electronic documentation of any level.

EDS is not an object and does not have a text format, so the information contained in it is hidden from human eyes. It looks like part of an encrypted program code. It should be regarded as a requisite of an electronic document, which will certify its authenticity, as well as fix the unchanged state of the data presented from the moment of signing.

Types of signatures

The following types of EDS can be used by business entities:

  1. Simple. Typically, such signatures that come in SMS or email messages in the form of numerical or digital combinations are used by individuals in the process of interacting with various authorities, departments and other government agencies: hospitals, banks, educational institutions, etc.
  2. Reinforced unskilled. Such signatures are used by business entities and individuals in the process of work. Can be used when visiting different sites, for example, "Gosuslugi", and using the proposed interface.
  3. Reinforced qualified. Designed for different forms of ownership. They can be used when participating in, when submitting reports to regulatory authorities via the Internet, to maintain a significant workflow. Such EDS can only be issued by certification centers that have been accredited and have certificates confirming this fact.

Attention! A 100% guarantee of the authenticity of a virtual document is provided only by an enhanced qualified EDS. Its legal force is recognized not only by business entities, but also by all regulatory authorities.

Where and how can I get

In order to generate an EDS in accordance with the Federal Law, individuals and entrepreneurs must submit a package of documents to certification centers. They will also have to pay for the services of the CA, according to the invoices received, before the start of generating digital signatures. The procedure includes the following sequence:

  1. The person chooses a certification authority. A complete list of CA offices can be found on the Gosuslugi portal https://www.gosuslugi.ru/125557/1/info.
  2. If the client does not have time, he can go to the website of the certification center and apply for an EDS. Within an hour, he will be sent an invoice to pay for the center's specialized services. Also, a person can personally come to the nearest office of the certification center and fill out an application on the spot.
  3. After paying the bill, the client must transfer a package of documents to the CA employee. Further, an agreement is signed between the parties.
  4. The client is given a complete package: software, certificate, documents, recorded on a special EDS carrier.

The key verification certificate will contain the following information: TIN, information about the owner of the EDS, validity period, information about the certification center where registration was carried out. Digital signatures are issued for a year, after which you will have to renew them or order new CPUs.

Scope of application

EDS can be used in the following areas of business and life:

  1. In the process of maintaining electronic document management, in particular with physical. persons.
  2. When creating and sending reporting and correspondence to regulatory authorities.
  3. When participating in an electronic auction.
  4. When receiving any public services.
  5. During participation in arbitration processes.
  6. When conducting banking transactions.
  7. For interaction with counterparties on the basis of signed agreements, etc.

EDS advantages

Thanks to the adoption of Federal Law No. 63 on the rules for the generation and use of electronic digital signatures, citizens and entrepreneurs are able to significantly simplify various business processes and everyday situations. The benefits of using an EDS include the following:

  1. It is possible to simplify not only internal, but also intercorporate, interdepartmental and international document flow.
  2. A high degree of confidentiality of all data transmitted via the Internet is guaranteed.
  3. The completeness and reliability of the information contained in electronic documents is ensured.
  4. The process of interaction with regulatory authorities and extra-budgetary funds is simplified. For example, company employees no longer have to stand in queues for many hours to submit reports, as they redirect them over the Internet.
  5. It is possible to make internal workflow more efficient and convenient.

Which centers to contact

Not so long ago, a bill was published in the media, which proposes to close all commercial certification centers (there are more than 400 of them today) and leave only two state CAs. For the provided generation services, business entities will also have to pay a state fee in a fixed amount of 2,500 rubles. The introduction of legislative innovations is planned to be carried out within two years from the date of adoption of the relevant Federal Law.

But, until the reforms have come into force, certification centers continue to carry out core activities in the Russian Federation, where you can get an EDS for both universal use and for individual instances:

  • for GIS GMP;
  • for IC Marking;
  • for the FTS;
  • for Rosfinmonitoring;
  • for GIS housing and communal services;
  • for FIS FRDO;
  • for RAR;
  • for EGAIS Alcohol;
  • for Rosaccreditation;
  • for PIK EASUZ;
  • for Mosenergosbyt, etc.

Signature activation rules

The Certification Authority should explain to each client how to properly install the EDS certificate on the computer. This can be done in two ways.

First option"Personal certificate installation":

Second option"Installation root certificate UC":

  1. After launching the CryptoProCSP software, find the “service” section, click on the “view certificate in container” button.
  2. Press the "Browse" key, select the desired certificate - "OK".
  3. In the "next" section, click "properties", select "install certificate" from the menu.
  4. The switch should be transferred to a cell called "Automatic. Select a storage based on the type of certificate”, then click on the “next” and “finish” button.

Attention! Before, you must install the software received from the CA. After that, the desired file is opened in the PC, the “add email” section is selected from the menu. signature "CryptoPro". From the list that opens, select the desired EDS and press the "sign" button. If no errors were made, then a window will appear in front of the user, with the text about the successful signing of the document.

What can be software errors when using EDS and how to fix them

When working with the EDS, the following errors may occur:

  1. The virtual site does not display a certificate confirming the status of a procurement participant. The reason for the error may lie in the wrong browser settings, incorrect setting of the EDS key certificate, the absence of a root certificate from the CA. To eliminate errors, you should first make sure that the settings are correct and that the received software matches the type of OS. After that, in the browser settings, you need to add the addresses of virtual sites and ActiveX controls. The next step is to install the root certificate.
  2. Unable to sign electronic documents. The reason for the error may lie in the following: a media with a different digital signature is inserted into the corresponding slot, the license of the CryptoPro software has expired. To eliminate the error, you must first check the storage medium and the validity period of the software license.
  3. In the process of entering the virtual platform, the system gives an error. In most cases, the error occurs due to incorrect installation of the Capicom library. To eliminate it, you need to check the presence of a library in the PC, and also copy two system files to one of the Windows folders (if you have a 64-bit system) with the .dll extension.

If it is not possible to fix everything on your own, then you should contact the specialists of the certification center, which is obliged to provide advisory support to customers.

Electronic signature- this is the requisite of an electronic document, with the help of which it is possible to determine the owner who owns the EDS, as well as to establish the absence of distorted information in electronic form.

What are the types of electronic signature

Signing documents with an EDS allows you to submit reports via the Internet, contact government agencies on certain issues, as well as conduct document management in electronic form, etc. Subject to necessary conditions An electronic signature is equivalent to a handwritten signature.

An electronic signature can be divided into two types. Let's look at each type in detail in the form of a table:

Type of electronic signature description
Simple electronic signatureWith the help of this signature, it is only determined that the electronic signature was generated by a certain person, nothing more. For example, it can be an SMS confirmation at the entrance to your personal banking account. This type is considered the simplest and is usually used in banking operations. The design of a simple signature indicates that its owner will use it only in certain cases in certain situations.
Unqualified electronic signatureThis type of signature also helps to identify the person who uses the digital signature. And with the help of this type of electronic signature, you can detect whether there have been any changes in the document. Creating such a key is a little more complicated using a private EDS key.
Qualified electronic signatureThis type of signature includes all the characteristics of an unqualified one, and also has its own number of advantages, namely: there is a mandatory certificate either in paper or in electronic form. Obtaining such an electronic signature occurs only in a special certification center. With such a signature, the document has legal force without additional conditions.

An EDS can be obtained from a certification center (CA) accredited by the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation. The set issued by the center includes:

  1. EDS verification key certificate - as a rule, it is issued on a USB-drive.
  2. Distribution of CryptoPro software with an activated license for use during the validity period of the EDS verification key.

Plus, different web services and applications have their own characteristics of working with a signature.

Most people very often use a simple electronic signature in their daily life, even without noticing it and do not think about how to sign an EDS file. In fact, this is a common code that confirms a particular operation. For example, when entering an online account or a bank application, the user enters his data, then he receives an SMS with a unique code on his phone, with which he must confirm his involvement in the action. What does an electronic signature look like on a document?

Almost every user wants to check a particular document that is signed with an electronic signature for authenticity. And the question immediately arises: what does an electronic signature look like?

When printing an electronic document certified by an EDS, an electronic signature on paper is not detected, since in fact an EDS is an action for cryptographic encryption of information that allows you to uniquely identify the signer.

On an electronic document, the digital signature may look different, since each type of information has its own method of protection. It could be:

  • A set of numbers and letters that may seem random to the average user. However, in fact, such a code denotes the key specified in the verification certificate.
  • Graphic picture. In electronic form, it looks like a regular stamp containing the signature of the responsible person and the seal of the enterprise. The signer can also create a sticker with a message or task for the recipient, which is displayed on the screen. This functionality is provided by the relatively inexpensive KARMA software developed by Russian programmers.
  • Invisible digital signature, which is considered the most reliable way to protect signed information. An ignorant person simply will not be able to detect its presence, which means that it will be extremely difficult to fake it. As a rule, this method of protection is used in documents created in MS Office products. In this case, the signature line is not visually determined, and the digital signature is generated as metadata. You can find out that a document has been certified with an EDS by a special icon that appears in the Status window at the bottom of the monitor. In this case, the certified document is not subject to editing.
